"In Castello" Hostel you can find 3 beautiful double bedrooms with bathroom and a shared well furnished kitchen.The bedrooms are on three floors, one bedroom for each floor; the kitchen is at the second floor.
The Hostel is situated in the old part of Gallicano at the beginning of Garfagnana, ten minutes from the beautiful medieval city of Barga.
From here you can:
- reach the famous Grotta del Vento and the ancient Eremo di Calomini.
- start excursions to the beautiful mountains of Alpi Apuane National Park : Monte Forato, Pania Secca, Pania della Croce, Monte Procinto, Monte Croce and Matanna.
- practise free climbing at “Le Rocchette” and “Grotta della Scaffa”.
Close to the hostel you can have fantastic breakfast at the Duomo Cafè.

Where we are :
From Lucca follow the road S.S. n°12 until a crossroads (Esselunga shopping centre) and here turn left, pass through two tunnels and continue along Serchio Valley (S.P.2). Continue up the road which runs straight up the valley bottom always with river on our right and pass towns of Diecimo (18 km) and Borgo a Mozzano (22 km), famous for teh "Ponte del Diavolo" (Devil's Bridge).
